Pen & Ink

Alongside his extensive work in oil painting, Frank Nigra maintained a lifelong dedication to drawing and illustration. For more than seven decades, he produced Pen & Ink works ranging from commercial illustration and publication work to intimate family scenes, figure and gesture studies, city observations, and religious imagery. These drawings served as the structural foundation for many of his larger painted works.
